The protection of personnel, equipment and records against the hazards of fire constitutes both a legal and moral obligation, as well as making sound financial sense, for this reason each new Thrislington partition undergoes the most stringent fire resistance tests before being put into manufacture.

In the United Kingdom, internal partitions are generally tested - and required to conform to B.S.476 Part 22 1987 section 5. This covers non-combustibility, fire propagation, the surface spread of flame, external exposure (roof) and fire resistance.

Thrislington partitioning is designed and constructed to fulfil these requirements. However it should be noted that where a glazed partition is needed to act as a fire resistant screen, glazing must be of an approved fire resistant glass and all hinged fire doors must be fitted with closers and intumescent seals. The epoxy polyester powder coated steel finish meets Class O flame spread.
